“High Five” Mobility Vehicle Tour Visits StreetLinks Headquarters as Part of $75,000 Donation to Wounded Warriors Family Support
StreetLinks wrapped up its Military Appreciation Month appraisal donation campaign today as the company celebrated its $75,000 donation to Wounded Warriors Family Support (WWFS), a national nonprofit organization supporting the families of killed and wounded veterans.
StreetLinks’ Indianapolis headquarters was the latest stop Friday in WWFS’ High Five Tour, a 26,000-mile road trip across the nation to raise funds for mobility-equipped vehicles for combat-wounded veterans and their families.
WWFS brought a patriotic, mobility-equipped Ford Explorer to the office, which StreetLinks employees inscribed with messages of support for veterans and their families. Employees were also treated to cupcakes while Kevin Sander, development director at Wounded Warriors Family Support, shared more information about the organization and their goals to raise enough funds during the High Five Tour to purchase 50 mobility-equipped vehicles for veterans.
“The StreetLinks team was honored to participate in this fundraising effort for Wounded Warriors Family Support. As proud supporters of our military, it was especially moving to sign the Wounded Warriors Family Support vehicle and share personal messages of support for our nation’s heroes,” said Tom Hurst, president of StreetLinks.
“Wounded Warriors Family Support has always emphasized that families are the backbone of our Armed Forces,” said Kevin Sander, development director for Wounded Warriors Family Support. “We are delighted to accept this donation from StreetLinks and the Assurant Foundation and happily welcome them into our family of trusted and valued supporters.”
